Hi all. Well after 10 months of taking care of house needs, I'm back on the road - arrived at O'Hare today. Forgot it was Gay Pride Parade. When the subway train got to Randolph, the crowds were unreal. Waiting for the next train and then the next was a real challenge - swarms of people. Once on the train north to Loyola, it was the worse crowding I've ever experienced - except for the subway in Rome! There people take a running leap to get on - crashing into a full car!
Me & my suitcase & carry one fought for space. A wheelchair came on board & rode up my leg! The kids - mostly - were terrific. Good looking, pleasant and having a blast. It may have been an awful ride for 8 long stops - AND it was - but I was happy for their joy. Couldn't help think about the Church and its positions - so sad to me.
When 98% of the people got off at the Belmont stop, I was literally in the middle - did my best to not get carried literally w/ the crowd! Still - sweat pouring, wheel chair mark on my pants - it was worth it.
Arrived at Loyola's Lake Shore Campus and received a warm welcome. It'll be great to see everyone!
